Individual Psychotherapy

Individual psychotherapy is one-on-one "talk therapy" with your therapist. In individual work you will work towards self-exploration, gaining an understanding of who you are, how you relate to yourself and to the world, and how to improve your overall wellbeing. Individual psychotherapy can also be done virtually.

Therapy in Nature

Therapy in Nature is the unique opportunity to work one-on-one with your therapist in one of Indiana's beautiful parks. "Talk and walk" is a Well Heart specialty, based on the belief that moving our body helps to move the emotion, allowing us to feel it and release it. Therapy in Nature improves your total wellbeing.

(You must be a Well Heart client for six months before this type of therapy can take place.)

Couples Counseling

Couples counseling is a form of psychotherapy that involves you and your partner working with a therapist. This work gives you both the opportunity to feel heard in your experience, can open up and facilitate conversations too difficult to manage on your own, and works to resolve issues in your relationship. Couples counseling can also be done virtually.

Family Therapy

Family therapy is a type of therapy that includes the entire family; each member is required to be present in an effort to nurture change and development in the relationships between family members, as well as to facilitate change in the way that family members interact with one another. 

Group Psychotherapy

Group psychotherapy is therapy that takes place with one or two therapists and a small group of people, typically 5-10. The group meets weekly or biweekly to help themselves and one another under the guidance of the therapist(s). Group therapy provides a place where you come together with others to share problems or concerns, to better understand your own situation, and to learn from and with each other. Group therapy takes place in person or virtually.

Group Workshops

Group workshops are a Well Heart specialty. Workshops previously offered include: Journaling Group, Emotional Wellness, Holiday Support, and Understanding Your Dreams. These workshops are opportunities to learn about or explore niche areas of psychological wellness and tend to occur over a span of weeks, for a total of 3-6 sessions. Anyone can join these fun and psychoeducational workshops!
